normally, core excersises are for the last part of your workout?!… if you train your core before doing weights, your core muscles will be tired, and will not be as stabilising as they will be if you just warm them up with a light excersise… your core muscles are important to maintain a good body posture and body stability during your workout… so it’s suggested to do these excersises at the end of your work- out
@xmanningx
no no , the guy wasnt actually asking its a rhetorical question , why is he as in “he shouldnt do it ”
you shouldnt hold your breath in any exercise , ever
(part 2 ^^) Core muscles are meant to give stability to the body, and the training of stability is different to that of the ”movement” muscles, which can be trained lifting weights (for example).
So, in few words. If you do this video’s exercise, you are working the ‘fast’ fibers of the core muscles, which are not as important as the slow (stability) fibers. It’s not bad, but DO NOT do this if your core (the slow fibers) are not in a good state.
I hope this helps you ^^
@Trying2WorkOut I’ll try, but my english is bad so i’m sry if you dont understand.
The muscles are made of 2 different fiber types. One type has the specific function of stability, the other one is meant to generate movement. Deppending on which fibers are a majority in a muscles, we can call that muscle (dunno the exact word) a ”stability” muscle or a movement one (again, words are wrong…).
ey I dunno if you said that to me but i got that as a reply in my youtube account.
If your comment is for me…I dunno the exact point where i started bullshitting anything. Let me clarify something, my english is bad, and all i did was to give some hints about what does CORE training means and some other stuff. Anything similar to bullshitting is either due to my bad english or due to your bad comprehension of my text. :/
well obviously your bullshitting all of us because hockey players, football players, jockeys, gymnasts all do these types of core exersices which is crucial to stabilty, balance and a good posture. nice try tho
@anormaluser thank you so much for that comment! It really does help me since I ve just started the core training! So, it should be strated with this isometric excercising right?
@urb3stm8
Glad to hear that, keep doing this REAL core training combined with the core strength training and you will have both healthy and strong core. ^^
@anormaluser
yeh true. i did alot of core strength exercises but ended up feeling like i had a weak core. so i started strengthening my stabilizing muscles and now i feel great.
You can do this as long as you dont have any serious patology, in which case I recommend you visit a doctor first. But before you do this I would recomend you some softer core training like side planks (google it) and stuff like that until you feel your core is stronger. That is up to you.
Hope this helps and sorry for my english ^^
Building strength in the core muscles isnt bad if your core is already healthy, but let me clarify something:
The core muscles are ment to AVOID movement. That group of muscles have a very important function which is STABILITY, and training core with dynamic/resisted moves would really bring you problems if you dont have a previous real core training, which is about stability and not about strength.
Hope this helps

He is breathing correctly. Breathing out on the concentric phase of the movement and in on the eccentric phase. A lot of these exercises are a combination of dynamic and isometric exercises so are really effective for overall strength.
most workout you breath out during rep
for these you need to hold it to support these muscles as your diaphragm is included in your ”core”
and you notice he still breaths between reps
you should be a guerner with thise faces your pulling lol

@anormaluser
So, what exercises can work the “slow muscle fibers”? Also, I have back pain.
